Vitreous bulge
A vitreous bulge is when the gel-like vitreous inside the eye moves forward into the front part of the eye (the anterior chamber). It can occur during or after cataract surgery. If it ruptures, vitreous fluid may leak into the eye, which is an emergency. Treatment may involve corneal or scleral stitches to seal the area.
