Vidarbha Janata Congress (VJC), also called Vidarbha Peoples Congress, is a political party in Maharashtra, India. It was launched on 9 September 2002 by former Member of Parliament Jambuwantrao Dhote. The party pushed for a separate state of Vidarbha, distinct from Maharashtra. Its constitution, released at Sewagram on 2 October, allowed politicians from any party to join without quitting their current party. After the launch, VJC held a public rally at Chitnavis Park on 23 January and vowed to fight for Vidarbha. It also organized a rathyatra to wake up people, followed by a Nagpur–Delhi march.
