Ursula Bechtolsheimer-Kipp
Ursula Bechtolsheimer-Kipp (born November 1951) is a German-born billionaire and businesswoman. She is the daughter of Karl-Heinz Kipp, who built the Massa department store empire. After her father died in October 2017, Ursula inherited much of his fortune. She is married to Dr Wilfried Bechtolsheimer; together they are worth about £1 billion.
Since 2016, Ursula has been chairwoman of the Tschuggen Hotel Group, a luxury resort company founded by her father in 1980. The group owns hotels in Europe, including the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa and the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz. Ursula and Wilfried also run a horse training and breeding centre in Gloucestershire. Wilfried died on April 8, 2020, in Ascona, Switzerland.
Ursula and Wilfried have four children: three sons and one daughter. Their eldest son Felix plays with the gothic rock band Curse of Lono; Gotz is an academic at the University of Pennsylvania; Till (born 1982) is a former racing driver who started the New York-based investment firm Arosa Capital Management. Their daughter Laura Bechtolsheimer (now Laura Tomlinson) is a British dressage rider who won two medals at the 2012 London Olympics. Laura married polo player Mark Tomlinson in 2013 in a ceremony attended by members of the royal family.
Ursula moved from Germany to Gloucestershire in the late 1980s and now lives in Switzerland, according to Forbes.
