Ultratron is a retro-style, top-down shooter developed by Puppy Games and Curve Digital. It launched on March 18, 2013 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with later releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U in 2015.

Gameplay: You control a battle droid in a fixed screen. Use one control stick to move and another to aim and shoot, and you can deploy smart bombs to wipe out all enemies. Between levels you can upgrade your robot, buy extra helpers (pets), and boost firepower. The game is inspired by Robotron 2084 but lets you move freely on a non-scrolling screen. Your goal is to destroy all enemies, collect upgrades, and grab fruit for points. There are 40 levels in total; every fifth level is an assault level with tougher enemies, and every tenth is a boss fight featuring one of four robotic bosses.

Plot: The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where humans are extinct due to killer robots. You are the last battle droid, created to defend humanity, and you must stop the robot army.

Reception: Ultratron received mixed reviews. Metacritic scores are about 73/100 for the Wii U version and 74/100 for the Xbox One version. Critics praised the art style and engaging gameplay but criticized the short length and lack of depth. Notable reviews include Nintendo World Report (8/10), Nintendo Life (7/10), and 4Players (75/100).
