Center for Islamic Pluralism (CIP) is a U.S.-based think tank that challenges Islamist interpretations of Islam. It was founded in 2004 by eight people, including Sufi author Stephen Suleyman Schwartz, and officially opened on March 25, 2005. The organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices in London and Cologne and correspondents in 32 countries. CIP is a public charity. Its executive director is Stephen Suleyman Schwartz, and its president is Kemal Silay. The website is islamicpluralism.org.
