Triosk was an experimental band from Sydney that blended jazz with electronic music. Formed in 2001, the group consisted of Adrian Klumpes (piano, Rhodes, sampler), Laurence Pike (drums, percussion, programming), and Ben “Donny” Waples (bass). They created music that started with a jazz trio feel but leaned into electronic textures and musique concrète, often using loops and little sonic details.

They released three albums before breaking up in 2007:
- 1+3+1 (2003): a collaboration with German electronic artist Jan Jelinek on the ~scape label.
- Moment Returns (2004): produced/edited by Laurence Pike, on The Leaf Label.
- The Headlight Serenade (2006): produced by Richard Pike, on The Leaf Label.

The band briefly came back together for a one-off show in 2022 at Sydney’s Phoenix Central Park as part of the Strata festival.

What people said:
- Critics noted their blend of Bill Evans–style mood with Jan Jelinek’s approach to vinyl-jazz sampling, and described their music as improvisation-based with electronics playing an equal role.
- Reviews described 1+3+1 as loop-based jazz shaped by minimalism, while Moment Returns offered a warm, textured atmosphere and The Headlight Serenade pushed further toward ambient electronic textures.

After Triosk:
- Laurence Pike worked with other projects and tours, while Adrian Klumpes released a solo album, Be Still, in 2006.
