Treux
Treux is a small commune in northern France, in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France. It lies about 23 kilometers northeast of Amiens on the D120 road, beside the Ancre river. The village has a church that is a local landmark. As of 2023, Treux has about 220 residents. The area covers 12.24 square kilometers, giving a population density of around 98 people per square kilometer. Elevation ranges from 37 to 110 meters above sea level, averaging about 40 meters. The mayor is Philippe Boivin (2020–2026). Treux belongs to the Val de Somme intercommunality, in the Amiens arrondissement and Corbie canton.
