Trail Fever
Trail Fever is a nonfiction book by Michael Lewis about the 1996 U.S. presidential election. It follows the losing candidates, especially Republicans, as they crisscross the country trying to build support. The book spotlights colorful businessman Morry Taylor of Titan Wheel International and features John McCain, who isn’t a candidate in the book but provides important context. The work was later republished under the title Losers: The Road to Everyplace but the White House.
