Tony Corrente, born November 12, 1951, is a former NFL official who worked from 1995 to 2021. He wore uniform number 99 and was the referee for Super Bowl XLI. He also served as the Pac-12’s Coordinator of Football Officiating from 2011 until his resignation in 2014. Corrente lives in La Mirada, California. He studied at Cerritos College, earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton in 1975, and a master’s in education from Azusa Pacific University in 1988. Outside the NFL, he taught social sciences at William Neff and La Mirada High Schools and coached baseball, with a CIF Southern Section title in 1988 and a runner-up finish in 1991. He began officiating in 1971 at the high school and junior college level, then moved to the Big West Conference, later officiating in the Western Athletic Conference and bowl games.

Corrente joined the NFL in 1995 as a back judge (renamed field judge in 1998) and was promoted to referee in 1998. He worked in NFL Europe, including World Bowls in 1995 and 1998. In the NFL, Corrente officiated 13 postseason assignments, including conference championships, and served as the alternate referee for Super Bowls XL and 50 before refereeing Super Bowl XLI.

He battled throat cancer in 2011 and was treated with chemotherapy and radiation in 2012, pausing NFL duties for Weeks 13–15 that season. In 2012 he was fined a game check after shouting “God damn it” during a game. He continued to oversee major games, including the 2014 AFC Championship (Broncos–Patriots) and the 2015 NFC Championship (Seahawks–Packers). He worked the 2019 wild-card game known for the Double Doink (Eagles–Bears) and the controversial 2021 Monday Night Football Bears–Steelers game. In January 2022, the NFL announced Corrente would officiate the 2022 Pro Bowl.
