Tommy Thompson (Thomas Carl Thompson) was an American Major League Baseball pitcher who played in 1912 for the New York Highlanders. He was born November 7, 1889, in Spring City, Tennessee, and died January 16, 1963, in LaJolla, California. He batted and threw right-handed. In seven games, he went 0–2 with a 6.06 ERA and 15 strikeouts. He was the older brother of Homer Thompson, who also played for the Highlanders in 1912.
