Tommaso Carafa
Tommaso Carafa (1588 – 7 December 1664) was a Roman Catholic bishop who served in two Italian dioceses. Born in 1588, he became Bishop of Vulturara e Montecorvino on 20 November 1623, during Pope Urban VIII’s papacy. He was consecrated as a bishop on 26 November 1623 by Cardinal Cosimo de Torres, with Archbishop Paolo Emilio Santori and Giuseppe Acquaviva as co-consecrators. Carafa led Vulturara e Montecorvino until his resignation in 1637. On 11 July 1639, still under Urban VIII, he was appointed Bishop of Capaccio. He remained bishop of Capaccio until his death on 7 December 1664 in Capaccio, Italy. His predecessor in Capaccio was Luigi Pappacoda and his successor was Camillo Ragona.
