The Thin Blue Line is a 1966 American documentary directed by William Friedkin. It was the second of three documentaries Friedkin made for producer David L. Wolper. The 52-minute film, narrated by Van Heflin, looks at the police force. It was produced for ABC and released in 1966. The experience of making the film later influenced Friedkin when he worked on The French Connection. Country: United States; Language: English.
