The Lonely Biscuits are an American indie band from Nashville, Tennessee. The group currently includes Grady Wenrich (vocals and guitar), Sam Gidley (drums), and Nick Byrd (bass).

They formed in September 2011 at Belmont University when Wenrich and Gidley were roommates. John Paterini joined after hearing them play, and two months later Nick Byrd joined as the official bass player. The band originally called themselves Gravy and the Biscuits, but changed to The Lonely Biscuits due to a naming issue.

Their music blends soul, funk, hip hop and pop. Their first release, Butter, gained about 25,000 views on YouTube. Their first live show was at Elberta, a Belmont student house. They released the free EP Soul Food, and around that time Nick Byrd joined as the official bassist. They recorded and released the single Chasin’ Echoes with a video, which became one of their most downloaded tracks and was later included on the EP Biscuit Buffet.

In 2012 they won the Southeast regional title in the College Battle of the Bands and reached the finals in Los Angeles. In 2013 they won the MTVu Woodie Award for College Artist Woodie. Hurricane Sandy affected Grady’s home region in New Jersey; the band released the song Everybody, recorded in Normandy Beach, NJ, with a video, and donated more than $3,000 to hurricane relief.

In 2015 John Paterini left the band after a summer tour; the departure was announced on Instagram on October 8, 2015. The remaining members released the EP Come Around later that month without John. Robbie Jackson joined as a live guitarist for Fall/Winter tours.

Influences include Sublime, Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, G. Love and Jack White.
