The Dream (1966) is a Yugoslav war movie written and directed by Puriša Đorđević. It stars Ljubiša Samardžić, with cinematography by Mihajlo Popović and editing by Mirjana Mitić. The film was released on July 14, 1966, runs 93 minutes, and is in Serbo-Croatian. It comes from SFR Yugoslavia.

It is the second film in Đorđević’s wartime tetralogy, following The Girl (1965) and preceding The Morning (1967) and Noon (1968). The Dream is part of the Yugoslav Black Wave movement and competed at the 17th Berlin International Film Festival.

Plot: In 1941, in the liberated cities of Čačak and Užice, a young man and a girl dream of a better future. The outbreak of war interrupts their plans, but they continue to dream, believing that dreams cannot be taken away.

Legacy: In 2016, the Yugoslav Film Archive named The Dream as culturally important among 100 Serbian feature films made between 1911 and 1999.
