Thaia saprophytica
Thaia saprophytica is the only species in the small orchid genus Thaia. This flowering plant is native to Laos and Thailand and belongs to the orchid family (Orchidaceae). Thaia is placed in the tribe Thaieae, and it is the sole genus in that tribe. Previously, some scientists thought Thaia might belong to the Neottieae tribe, but it is now recognized as the only genus in Thaieae.
