Target Center is a multi‑purpose arena in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It opened in 1990 and is owned by the City of Minneapolis, with day‑to‑day operations run by AEG Facilities. The arena seats about 18,800 for basketball, 17,500 for hockey, and up to 20,500 for concerts. Its address is 600 First Avenue North.

The Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA have played there since it opened, and the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA have called it home since 1999. Over the years it has hosted other sports and events as well, including college tournaments, wrestling, UFC events, and many big concerts. It can also be converted into the U.S. Bank Theater for smaller shows.

Naming rights have been held by Target since the arena opened, with renewals continuing through the years. The arena underwent a major renovation that was completed in 2017, updating seats, entrances, technology and more at a cost of about $140 million.

Key features and history include the replacement of the original seats in 2004, the addition of a large new video screen, and the arena becoming the first to have a green roof in 2009. The renovations also modernized exterior and interior spaces and improved accessibility. The Timberwolves’ lease runs through 2035.

The arena is close to public transit, with nearby light rail lines, and is just across the street from First Avenue and near Target Field, sharing public parking.
