Tamao Ozawa is a Japanese former professional boxer and former WBO female super-flyweight champion. She was born on May 16, 1985, in Nagano, Japan, and boxed in several weight classes: super-flyweight, flyweight, and light-flyweight. She fought as an orthodox boxer and finished her career with 22 fights: 17 wins (6 by knockout) and 5 losses.

Her pro debut was in August 2011. She won the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super-flyweight title on April 3, 2015, by a split decision over Terumi Nuki in Osaka.

Ozawa’s first world title shot came on May 14, 2017, for the vacant WBO female light-flyweight title in Kyoto. She lost by a split decision; one judge scored it 96–94 for Ozawa, while the other two had it for Hong Su-yun.

On March 10, 2018, she challenged for the vacant WBO female super-flyweight title in Karlsruhe, Germany, but lost by unanimous decision, 96–94 on all three cards.

She later won the Japanese flyweight title on April 14, 2019, by defeating Hye Soo Park by unanimous decision in Osaka.

After a three-year break to have a son, Ozawa returned on May 30, 2022 to challenge Miyo Yoshida for the WBO female super-flyweight title in Tokyo. She won by split decision, with two judges scoring 97–93 for Ozawa and one judge 96–94 for Yoshida, making her a global champion.

Ozawa retired from boxing on October 27, 2022. In her statement, she thanked her husband, pianist Ryohei Kishimoto, and her son, and said she was grateful for the opportunities she had in boxing.
