Sunami Station
Sunami Station (須波駅) is a passenger railway station in Mihara, Hiroshima, Japan. It is operated by JR West and serves the JR West Kure Line, located 5.1 km from Mihara, the line’s terminus.
The station has two side platforms on an embankment with two tracks. Each platform has its own entrance/exit, and they are connected by a level crossing. The station is at ground level and is unstaffed. It has a bus stop nearby and is accessible for passengers with mobility needs. The station code is JR-Y30.
Sunami Station opened in March 1930. After the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, it came under JR West. The current station building was built in 1990.
In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of about 80 passengers daily.
