Steven May, known as Steve Ray, is a retired American professional wrestler from Kansas City, Missouri. He stood 6'3" tall and weighed 251 pounds. Trained by Bob Adonis, he debuted in 1987 and retired in 1994.

Early career and Central States: Ray wrestled in Central States Wrestling, where he and Rick Patterson won the NWA Central States Tag Team Championship in 1988. The promotion closed in 1989, ending that run.

Universal Wrestling Federation: He joined the UWF in 1990 and teamed with Sunny Beach as Wet N' Wild. They became popular babyfaces and feuded with Coach John Tolos and The Power Twins, as well as with Bob Orton and Cactus Jack. Their big moment came at the UWF Beach Brawl pay-per-view in 1991, where Wet N' Wild defeated Orton and Cactus Jack. The partnership ended a short time later due to issues with promoter Herb Abrams.

Global Wrestling Federation: In 1991, Wet N' Wild wrestled in the GWF, known for their bright tights and inflatable beach balls, earning the nickname "beach bunnies." They made it to the second round of a two-day tournament for the new GWF Tag Team Championship.

Return to the UWF and retirement: Ray returned to the UWF in 1992, teaming with Beach to defeat Stone Cold and Johnny Kidd. He later faced Tyler Mane for the inaugural MGM Grand Championship at UWF Blackjack Brawl, but Mane won. The UWF folded in 1996 after Abrams’s death, bringing Ray’s wrestling career to a close.

Legacy: Ray appeared on Dark Side of the Ring in 2020 in an episode about Herb Abrams, where he described Abrams as a father figure.
