Spotted thicklip loach (Triplophysa strauchii) is a freshwater fish living in Central Asia. It inhabits the river basins around Balkhash, Issyk-Kul, Sassyk-Kul and Ala-Kul, as well as the Lake Zaysan basin and the Tarim Basin. The species grows up to about 25 cm (9.8 inches) long. It is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, meaning it is not currently at high risk of extinction. It belongs to the ray-finned fishes in the genus Triplophysa and the family Nemacheilidae.
