Smith baronetcy of Stratford Place, London, was created on 6 September 1897 for surgeon Thomas Smith to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. He served as her surgeon extraordinary. The heir apparent is the current baronet’s son, Samuel James Thomas Smith (born 2009).
