Shane Drahm

Shane Drahm (born 29 August 1977) is a former Australian rugby union player of Aboriginal descent who mainly played as a fly-half or fullback. He started his professional career with the Queensland Reds in 1997, then moved to England in 2001 to play for Bristol Shoguns and Northampton Saints, before joining Worcester Warriors in 2005. Drahm finished his club career in Japan with Kubota Spears from 2008 to 2011, before returning to Brisbane. He also represented Australia in rugby sevens and qualified to play for England on residency, earning two test caps in 2006 and scoring 17 points. After retiring, he moved into coaching in Brisbane, including interim head coach roles with GPS Premier Grade in 2014 and coaching school teams at Nudgee College and Brisbane Boys College. He has also been involved in academia, serving as the director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit at the University of Queensland in 2015, and is known to be a scratch golfer at Keperra Country Golf Club.
