Sericania pacis
Sericania pacis is a species of scarab beetle in the Scarabaeidae family. It lives in the Kashmir valley. Adults measure about 8.5 to 9 millimeters long. The body is elongated-oval and colored from light to dark reddish-brown. The top surface is shiny and mostly hairless, with only a few bristles on the pronotum and along the edges of the elytra, and a few fine hairs on the elytra. The name pacis comes from the Latin pax, meaning peace. It was described by Ahrens in 2004.
