Lupinus nevadensis
Lupinus nevadensis, or Nevada lupine, is a flowering plant native to the western Great Basin of Nevada and nearby parts of Oregon and California. It grows in sagebrush and other basin habitats.
It is an erect perennial herb, 10–40 cm tall. Each leaf has 6–10 hairy leaflets up to 5 cm long, spreading from one point like fingers. The stem and plant are covered in long hairs.
The flowers form a spiral cluster, with each bloom about 1 cm long. They are blue with a white patch on the top petal and a curved keel.
The fruit is a very hairy pod up to 4 cm long.
