Sase prospect
The Sase prospect is a copper-bearing deposit in Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, being developed by Tiger Resources. It lies within the Lupoto concession, about 10 kilometres south of Tiger’s Kipoi Mine and north of the older Lupoto Mine in the Kalumines concession. The Lupoto concession covers about 140 square kilometres. Drilling in 2008 showed ore with significant copper grades. Mineralization at Sase extends about 700 metres along strike and up to 300 metres wide. A maiden resource was planned for release in the first half of 2011. In February 2011, Tiger said it planned to build a solvent-extraction plant to process copper ore feed from Kipoi and Lupoto.
