Saron, Carmarthenshire
Saron is a mining village near Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is part of the Llandybie community. The village is named after the Saron Baptist Chapel, which started around 1810. There is a Saron electoral ward for Carmarthenshire County Council, electing two councillors. The ward covers the Saron area of Llandybie Community Council. In the 2011 census, the ward had a population of 4,111. The location is about 51.793°N, 4.029°W.
