San Francesco d'Assisi, Lecco
San Francesco d'Assisi parish church and the Capuchin convent are on the outskirts of Lecco in Lombardy, Italy. The Capuchins had previously lived in Pescarinico but were expelled during the Napoleonic era and did not return until 1949, welcomed back by Cardinal Schuster. The new convent was designed by architect Mino Fiocchi and built in two years, with consecration in 1951. The church is large and has eight chapels. The nave is two stories tall and features an octagonal dome, and the facade shows a Palladian window above a columned portico.
