Salas District is one of twelve districts in Lambayeque Province, located in the Lambayeque region of Peru. The capital is the town of Salas. The district covers about 992 square kilometers and lies at an elevation of about 190 meters above sea level. In 2005, around 14,035 people lived there, giving a population density of roughly 14 people per square kilometer. The mayor is Emilio Reyes Peña. The time zone is Peru Time (UTC-5).
