Saban Romanovic

Saban Romanovic is a Serbian former footballer who played as a forward. Born in Yugoslavia, he moved to Canada in 1972 to play in the National Soccer League with the Serbian White Eagles, where he teamed with Mike Bakić. In his debut NSL season he was the league's top scorer with 23 goals. He spent 1973–1974 in Mexico with C.D. Veracruz before returning to the Serbian White Eagles in 1974. In 1975 he joined Toronto Italia and helped them win the NSL Championship, and he scored in the Canadian Open Cup to help defeat London Boxing Club of Victoria. In 1977 he joined Toronto Panhellenic and again finished as the league's top scorer, the second time in his career.
