Russell Ong

Russell Ong is a former Singaporean swimmer who captained Team Singapore. He helped win nine medals at the Southeast Asian Games from 2007 to 2013, including bronze in the 50m freestyle (2007, 2009, 2011) and a silver in 2013. He also competed in relay events, such as the 4x100m freestyle and the 4x100m medley relays.

Ong studied at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). He briefly studied at the University of Melbourne before returning to Singapore, where he later studied at Singapore Management University. In 2014, he became the chairman of the Athletes' Commission of the Singapore Swimming Association. He retired in August 2015 after not qualifying for the SEA Games.

Off the pool deck, Ong acted in the film Ghost Child (2012), appeared in the TV drama Lion Moms, and hosted Luxe Asia 4. He is the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of a Shanghai-based tech startup.
