Rosemont, Baltimore
Rosemont is a neighborhood in western Baltimore, Maryland. It sits between North Avenue to the north, Franklintown Road to the south, Hilton Parkway to the east, and Bloomingdale Avenue to the west. It is a working-class, predominantly African-American community. Rosemont borders Walbrook Junction and Leakin Park. In the 20th century, the area faced economic decline, housing abandonment, and rising crime. It was affected by the Baltimore riot of 1968.
