Park Jae-hong (footballer, born 1978)
Park Jae-hong (born 10 November 1978 in Seoul) is a South Korean former football defender. He studied at Myongji University before starting his professional career.
His clubs included Sangmu (during military service), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Chunnam Dragons, Universitatea Cluj in Romania (where he and fellow Korean Kim Jong-chun became the club’s first foreign players), Gyeongnam, Jiangsu Sainty in China, and INSEE Police United in Thailand. In total he made 217 club appearances and scored 4 goals.
Internationally, Park played for South Korea’s U-23 team (1999–2000) and the senior national team (2000–2005), earning 31 senior caps and 29 U-23 caps (1 goal for the U-23 team).
After retiring, he moved into scouting and coaching, with roles at Bucheon, Yangju Citizen, and Kelantan Darul Naim.
