Red Hammer Records
Red Hammer Records is an independent record label based in Battle Ground, Washington, in the Portland, Oregon metro area. It was founded in 2006 by Darren Bowls and is distributed in the United States and worldwide online by Entertainment One Distribution. The label’s first signing was the Portland-area band SONSOFDAY; their 2007 national release drew attention, and the video for “This Place” won Gospel Music Channel’s Video of the Year. In 2008 the label signed Norwegian groups Dreampilots and Humming People, along with Portland electro-pop band Paper Rings. Paper Rings released their first CD in a limited release and later toured the Midwest opening for SONSOFDAY. In 2009 Humming People released their first CD, “A Hope No Man Can Bind,” in Norway, and the Dreampilots released their US debut, “Comedown.” In 2011, Katelynne Cox was set for a debut national release on March 22, 2011.
