Rashit Luftulovich Khamidulin (November 28, 1936 – November 27, 2013) was a Soviet and Russian diplomat. He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1960 and joined the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs, working both in Moscow and in foreign posts. From 1988 to 1990 he served as the Soviet ambassador to Kampuchea (Cambodia). From 1990 to 1996 he was the ambassador to Vietnam, representing the Soviet Union and then Russia. Between 1996 and 1998 he was the Director of the Third Asia Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry. On August 31, 1998, he became Russia’s ambassador to Australia, with concurrent accreditation to Fiji, Nauru and Vanuatu, and he held that post until July 20, 2001, when he retired. He spoke Russian, English, French and Vietnamese. He died on November 27, 2013, aged 76.
