Raphale Evans
Raphale Mondale Evans (born 7 May 1990) is an English footballer who played as a defender. He was born in Manchester and is about 6 feet tall.
Evans came through Rochdale’s youth system, captaining the youth team and making his first-team debut in May 2008. He signed a one-year professional contract for the 2008–09 season and spent time on loan with Bradford Park Avenue (October 2008) and Leigh Genesis (March 2009). After his Rochdale contract ended, he left the club.
In 2009 Evans and four others were charged in connection with the murder of a nightclub doorman. He pleaded guilty to violent disorder and was sentenced to 18 months in prison in October 2009, which effectively halted his playing career.
Evans resumed football in January 2011 with Northwich Victoria in the Northern Premier League, initially on non-contract terms and then on a full contract for the 2011–12 season. He moved to Salford City in October 2011 and to Woodley Sports in February 2012. He signed a full-time contract with Woodley Sports, which was renamed Stockport Sports in July 2012.
