Pseudocollinia
Pseudocollinia is a genus of parasitoid ciliates in the Colliniidae family. It belongs to the eukaryotes, within the SAR group and Alveolata, in the phylum Ciliophora and the class Oligohymenophorea. It is part of the order Apostomatida.
The genus currently includes a described species, Pseudocollinia brintoni. Described in 2012, P. brintoni is a parasitoid ciliate that infects the euphausiid Nyctiphanes simplex (a small krill).
