Precision 185 is an American trailerable day-sailor designed by Jim Taylor. It was first built in 2001 by Precision Boat Works in Palmetto, Florida, and was produced through 2018. The fiberglass monohull has wood trim and is designed for easy sailing and trailering.

The boat is a fractional Bermuda-rigged keelboat with a fixed fin keel and a transom-hung rudder steered by a tiller. It displaces about 880 pounds and carries 375 pounds of ballast. It measures 18.42 feet overall, 16.67 feet at the waterline, and 7.33 feet in beam, with a draft of 3.5 feet. It has a hull speed of about 5.5 knots and about 97 square feet of sail. The Precision 185CB is a related centerboard version that was Sailing World’s 2003 Boat of the Year.
