Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets
Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets is an open-air outlet mall in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, just outside Kenosha near the Illinois border. It sits along Interstate 94 and is roughly 50 miles north of Chicago and 40 miles south of Milwaukee. The mall has 88 stores on one level, with about 402,524 square feet of shopping space.
The center was opened in 1988 and built in stages through 1992. It was originally named Lakeside Marketplace, later rebranded as Prime Outlets at Kenosha, and became Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets after Simon Property Group bought it in 2010.
Developed by the McArthurGlen Group, the first phase opened with 23 stores. Over the next few years, the mall expanded to include more shops, reaching 76 stores by 1992. In 1998 the property was sold to Prime Retail LP and renamed. A major expansion in 2006 added East Plaza and The Eatery Dining Pavilion with a clock tower, with some tenants moving from the former Bristol outlet mall nearby.
Today, Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets is owned by Simon Property Group and is part of its Premium Outlets division, continuing to serve shoppers from the Chicago and Milwaukee areas.
