Peter Grant (footballer, born 1994)
Peter Grant (born 11 March 1994) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender. He was born in Bellshill, Scotland, and is 1.86 m tall.
He began his career with Peterborough United but never broke into the first team, spending time on loan at Thurrock and Histon before being released in May 2014. In July 2014, he signed for Falkirk. In his first season, Falkirk reached the Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and Grant scored in the final to level the game at 1–1, though Falkirk lost 2–1. His time at Falkirk was interrupted by a cruciate ligament injury in January 2016, the second such injury of his career (the first came as a teenager at Peterborough). He left Falkirk after the 2017–18 season.
Grant then joined Plymouth Argyle in June 2018, but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent in January 2019. He signed for Carlisle United for the rest of the 2018–19 season and was released at its end. On 8 July 2019, he moved to Greenock Morton. He later played for Queen’s Park and Clyde, and spent time on loan at Dumbarton in 2023. In July 2024 Clyde cancelled his contract by mutual agreement.
Peter Grant is the son of former Celtic player Peter Grant, and his brother Ray is also a footballer.
