Perrish Cox
Perrish Cox (born January 10, 1987) is a former American football cornerback and return specialist who played in the NFL. He starred at Oklahoma State, where he was a 2009 First-Team All-American and a First-Team All-Big 12 pick. A four-star recruit, Cox chose Oklahoma State over LSU, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. He was known for his kickoff return ability and strong corner play.
Cox was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft (137th overall). He played for Denver in 2010 and later joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2012. He spent time with the 49ers through 2013 and again in 2014, and he appeared in Super Bowl XLVII after the 2012 season, which the 49ers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 34–31.
Throughout his career, Cox also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks (2013 and again in 2017) and the Tennessee Titans (2015–2016). In total, he recorded 208 tackles, 10 interceptions, 50 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
Off the field, Cox faced legal issues, including a 2009 arrest for driving with a suspended license and a 2010 arrest for alleged felonious sexual assault. He was found not guilty of the sexual assault charges in 2012.
