People is the second EP by American experimental pop band Animal Collective. It was released on October 23, 2006, runs 18 minutes and 54 seconds, and was issued by FatCat with Scott Colburn as producer. The first three tracks were recorded during Feels sessions in 2005, and the live version of the title track “People” was recorded on tour in March 2005, just before those sessions.

The original cover showed a racially insensitive “mammy” illustration. For the 2020 digital reissue, the artwork was changed. The band apologized, saying there is no excuse for using such a stereotype and promised to donate future royalties from the EP to the Equal Justice Initiative.

Rolling Stone’s Christian Howard reviewed the EP, praising “Tikwid” but saying the other tracks were weirder and less memorable, making the release hard to strongly recommend. All tracks were written by Animal Collective (Josh Dibb, Noah Lennox, David Portner, Brian Weitz). The EP features four tracks, including a live version of the title track.
