Pat Cashman is an American comedian and radio and TV personality who lives near Seattle. He was born Patrick Cashman on September 16, 1950, in Bend, Oregon.

He grew up in Bend and finished Bend High School in 1968. He studied journalism and communications at the University of Portland. After college, he worked in radio in Bend, Ontario, and Eugene, Oregon, before moving into television with local commercials at KEZI.

In 1980, Cashman joined KING-TV in Seattle, making local commercials including ones for the Seattle Mariners. He became a regular on the long-running local show Almost Live! with John Keister and was the announcer for Bill Nye the Science Guy. On radio, he hosted The Pat Cashman Show during morning drive time in Seattle. He also voices local commercials, such as Jerry’s Hardware in Eugene/Springfield and Grover’s Electric and Plumbing.

Cashman voices Master Hand and Crazy Hand in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. He writes for local Seattle newspapers and has appeared in Taco Time ads. He acted in Visioneers (2009) as a telethon host.

In 2013, Cashman returned to Seattle TV with The 206, a regional comedy show, along with his son Chris Cashman and former Almost Live! co-star John Keister. Keister left the show in 2014. In 2015, a revamped version called Up Late Northwest began airing in Seattle and other markets, hosted by Pat and Chris Cashman.

Personal life: He has a younger brother, Mike Cashman, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers and later worked as a substitute teacher and middle school basketball coach. Pat Cashman has two children, Chris and Katie, and remains based in the Seattle area.
