Past paper
Past papers are real exam questions from previous years. Students use them to practise and learn what to expect in the real test. Some exams boards and publishers sell past papers, either directly or through licensed publishers. Examples include UPSC in India, SAT in the U.S., and GCSE/A-level papers in the UK. These are often called previous year question (PYQ) papers. Students preparing for competitive exams look for past papers because they show the exam style and common topics, even though wording may change. In many countries, past papers come from official sources such as MOE, SEAB, and publishers like the Education Publishing House (EPH) in Singapore. Past papers help with national exams like PSLE, N Level, O Level, and A Level. To publish past papers, EPH or other publishers must get permission from the education authorities to avoid copyright problems.
