Parsons Hospital
Parsons Hospital was a small, 100-bed hospital in Flushing, Queens, New York. It opened before 1950 as a private facility and was affiliated with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 1986, Asian American doctors bought it to serve the local Asian community. In 1988 it closed and became a division of Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Flushing Hospital Medical Center was later acquired by New York Hospital in 1996. Parsons closed after being cut off from Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements following serious violations. The building was sold with plans to demolish it.
