Parish church of St. Gallus and Ulrich, Kißlegg
The Parish Church of St Gallus and Ulrich is a Roman Catholic church in Kißlegg, Germany. It was built from 1734 to 1738 by Johann Georg Fischer by converting a Gothic church that stood before it. The tower comes from the earlier building and dates to the 12th or 13th century. The church was heavily renovated between 1974 and 1980.
Inside you can see a Madonna statue from 1623, attributed to Hans Zürn the Elder; a Baroque pulpit by Johann Wilhelm from 1745; and many tombs from the 16th and 17th centuries. The church also houses a precious silver collection from 1741 to 1755 made by Augsburg silversmith Franz Christoph Mäderl.
There is also a relic claimed to be Saint Clemens, but it is considered an example of a catacomb saint—a body taken from the Roman Catacombs, given a name, and displayed as a saint's relic.
