Public School 41, also known as the Greenwich Village School, is a zoned public elementary school in Manhattan, New York City. Address: 116 West 11th Street, New York, NY 10011. It is part of the New York City Department of Education, and the principal is Michelle Amato.

History: The school opened in 1867 as Grammar School No. 41, originally a girls’ school near Greenwich Avenue and Charles Street. The New York Times described it as a “model of comfort and neatness” and “one of the finest school buildings in the city.” The 1867 Board of Education report praised it as “erected with great care” and “one of the most elegant and substantial School Houses yet erected.” In 1957, a new building designed by Michael L. Radoslovich replaced the old one.

Today: PS 41 serves students in grades 3-K through 5 from its neighborhood. In 2021 it was named a National Blue Ribbon School.
