Ossie Williams
Ossie Williams (Oswald Williams) was a Welsh rugby union player. He was born on 12 April 1921 in Llanelly, Wales, and died on 23 March 1988 in Risca, Wales.
He played as a wing forward and began his club career with Llanelly RFC after World War II. Williams earned seven caps for Wales between 1947 and 1948, including Wales’ win over the Wallabies in Cardiff in 1947. He scored his only career points with a penalty against France in the 1948 Five Nations.
Williams stayed with Llanelly for several more years and served as club captain in the 1951–52 season. He also played for Felinfoel, Furnace and Pontyberem during his career. Outside rugby, he worked as a furnace hand at Llanelly Steelworks.
