Operation Buckland
Operation Buckland, also called the Battle of the Argenta Gap, took place from 12 to 19 April 1945. It was part of the Allied Spring Offensive in Italy, fought by the British Eighth Army. The aim was to bypass the last river defenses and break out into the Po Valley, helping the Allies advance into northern Italy.
