Noelia Artigas
Noelia Artigas Pizzo (born 4 June 1989 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan handball goalkeeper who plays for Scuola Italiana di Montevideo and the Uruguay women's national team. She has helped Uruguay achieve historic results in major events: at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship the team won its first World Championship match and achieved its best finish to date. She won bronze at the 2010 South American Games.
In 2018 she trained in China for a month as part of a cooperation program to prepare for the Cochabamba 2018 South American Games. She also played beach handball for Uruguay from 2006 to 2012, taking part in three World Championships; the team finished sixth in 2012, its best result so far.
Domestically, Artigas has been a key player for Scuola Italiana di Montevideo, helping the club win six consecutive Uruguayan championships from 2018 to 2023. The team has also competed in the South and Central American Women's Club Handball Championship in 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. She was nominated for the Charrúa Awards in 2018–2019.
In August 2024 she signed with Ariosto Pallamano in Italy for the 2024–2025 season, and in 2025 she played in the Coppa Italia for Ariosto, earning a MVP nomination in the quarter-final against Salerno.
