Nick Zano (born March 8, 1978) is an American actor from Nutley, New Jersey. He grew up in Florida and was active in drama and television at Wellington High School, where he helped create a weekly skit show and made student films that competed in film festivals.

After high school, Zano moved to Hanover, Pennsylvania, where he worked on developing film and TV projects. He also helped with a World AIDS Day TV special hosted by Lou Diamond Phillips. A chance encounter with an MTV employee led to him hosting MTV News’ Movie House.

Zano’s first major TV role came in 2003 as Vince on The WB’s What I Like About You, a part he played until the show ended in 2006. He later hosted and executive produced MTV’s Why Can’t I Be You? and appeared in several films, including My Sexiest Year (2007), College (2008), Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008), Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead (2008), and The Final Destination (2009). He also had a guest spot on Cougar Town.

On television, Zano had recurring roles on Melrose Place (2010), 2 Broke Girls (2011) as Johnny, and 90210 (2012) as Preston Hillingsbrook. He appeared in Desperately Seeking Santa (2011) and played Pete on Happy Endings (2012–2013). He starred in One Big Happy as the male lead (premiering in 2015) and played Arthur Watson in Minority Report (2015).

Zano is best known for his work in the Arrowverse as Dr. Nathaniel “Nate” Heywood / Steel on Legends of Tomorrow, a role he played from 2016 to 2022, appearing in 94 episodes.

Personal life: Zano dated Kat Dennings from 2011 to 2014. Since 2014, he has been in a long-term relationship with actress Leah Renee Cudmore. The couple has two children: a son born in 2016 and a daughter born in 2018.
